I am a photographer and creative based in Rapolano Terme (SI), Italy. Since I was a kid, I was literally surrounded by art. My room was completely frescoed by my parents with imaginative landscapes, and poetic views of nature. Mom has studied Applied Arts and in my childhood I used to observe her when she was painting and try to emulate her gestures. I knew the smell of colours very early, and painting tools were a constant presence at home. I also fell in love with photography as a young girl when I saw my father shooting and realizing images through the magical alchemy of photographic processing. Photography was his hobby, and he was great in portraits. So, for all my life I used to express my inner states with arts (paintings, drawings, murals, storytelling) and writings (as poems, short stories, diaries).
Despite my artistic attidude, as it often happens, I choose foreign languages as my course of study. I graduated at the University of Roma Tre in foreign languages, I also attended the first year of the PhD in Hispano-American Comparative Literatures, at the Nova of Lisbon, to investigate on the Latin American baroque aesthetics (Neobarroco), and I had various experiences as a translator. Actually, I am working as a revisor/translator, but I am always combining this work with my passion for artistic observation, drawing and photography, included videos.

Sono una fotografa e creativa con base a Rapolano Terme (SI), Italia. Fin da bambina sono stata letteralmente circondata dall’arte. La mia camera era stata completamente affrescata dai miei genitori con paesaggi fantasiosi e vedute poetiche della natura. Mia mamma ha studiato Arti Applicate e da piccola la osservavo mentre pitturava e cercavo di emulare i suoi gesti. Ho conosciuto molto presto l’odore dei colori e gli strumenti della pittura erano una presenza costante a casa mia. Crescendo mi sono innamorata anche della fotografia, guardavo mio padre realizzare immagini usando la magica alchimia dello sviluppo fotografico. La fotografia era il suo hobby ed era bravissimo nei ritratti. Quindi, per tutta la vita ho trovato naturale esprimere i miei stati d’animo attraverso l’arte (dipinti, disegni, murales, storytelling) e la scrittura (come poesie, racconti, diari).
Nonostante le mie attitudini artistiche, come spesso accade, ho scelto le lingue straniere come corso di studi. Mi sono laureata in Lingue e Letterature Straniere presso l’Università degli Studi Roma Tre, ho frequentato anche il primo anno del dottorato in Letterature Comparate Ispanoamericane alla Nova di Lisbona, per fare ricerca sulle estetiche del Neo-barocco ispano-americano, e ho avuto diverse esperienze come traduttrice. Attualmente lavoro come traduttrice, ma unisco sempre questo lavoro alla mia passione per l’osservazione artistica, il disegno e la fotografia, incluso il videomaking.
